Ashley W. Smith, commercial real estate agent with Colliers Neely Dales, LLC, was recently awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation by the CCIM Institute.

A CCIM is a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. Smith earned the designation by passing the institute’s comprehensive examination in Fort Worth Texas on April 27, 2009.

The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successful completion of a graduate-level education curriculum and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying industry experience. CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation and investment analysis. They form a business network encompassing 1,000 markets throughout North America. Of the estimated 150,000 commercial real estate practitioners in North America, only 6 percent hold the CCIM designation.

Smith began his real estate career in 2002 as a sales associate and appraiser. He joined Colliers Neely Dales, LLC in 2004 and specializes in office, retail and investment properties.
