Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC) is the main telecommunications operator in Bulgaria, employing over 12,000 professionals and servicing 2.5 million fixed-line subscribers and a growing number of mobile customers. The company was privatized in 2004, and as of 2007 is owned by AIG Capital Partners, subsidiary of AIG Investments.
In 2007 Colliers Bulgaria completed a valuation assignment for a selected property portfolio owned by BTC. The notable project comprised valuing multiple centrally located buildings, spread throughout the entire country, as well as sizable industrial sites. The compiled results and analysis were part of the proceedings of the largest privately-run tender in Bulgaria and the subsequent disposal of the largest telecommunications company in the country.
